California Chapter of SPAAMFAA Annual Business Meeting
April 9, 2005
Watsonville Fire Department Headquarters Station
President Will Radcliffe called the meeting to order at 1:08 p.m.
There were five officers and directors, five members, and two guests present.
It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the previous meeting without reading them.
The treasurer submitted a written report indicating that the chapter had a cash balance of $5,460.09 as of December 31, 2004. This is a net gain from the same time last year. It was moved and seconded to accept the treasurer's report.
The newsletter editor had nothing to report.
The secretary reported we have 378 members as of April 8, 2005. Of those, 314 had paid their 2005 dues, and 64 had not. May 1 is the cutoff for 2005 dues.
The webmaster reported the chapter website is being updated regularly.
There was no old business.
The secretary reported that 184 members had cast ballots. This is almost half of the total members and is an indication of the level of solid support and participation we have from our membership.
All the nominees were re-elected.

Correspondence from other chapters was distributed for viewing.
The secretary announced that long-time fire apparatus photographer, historian, and fire buff Dale Magee had died on March 31. Dale was one of the original members of the California Chapter of SPAAMFAA.
The secretary announced that Iconografix was publishing a book on Van Pelt and another one on American LaFrance. They should be available in mid-May.
The president proposed that we make a donation to the Watsonville Firefighters Association for their generous efforts in hosting our meeting and lunch. It was moved and seconded to make a $50 donation with a matching donation from an unnamed individual.
